With the highly anticipated release of The Roots’
latest masterpiece,
Rising Down, we're back with
three new shows from
The Tipping Point era.
Speaking of new music from The Roots, make sure to
check out the videos for “
75
Bars (Black’s Reconstruction)" and “
Get
Busy” on the
new
Okayplayer.
A few months before the release
of Game Theory, The Roots performed a
career-spanning show at the
Warner Theatre in Washington, D.C. The April
2006 show, also available in lossless FLAC format
over at
Etree, features hits like “The Seed” and an
extended rendition of “You Got Me,” as well as
lesser-played songs like “What You Want,”
“Dynamite!” and “What They Do.”
Additionally, we’re also providing two June 2004
shows from before The Tipping Point’s
release. We set the table with the first Roots
concert I ever attended, their opening
act-performance on 311’s summer tour at
Detroit’s DTE Energy Center and follow it up
with The Legendary performing overseas at
Hultsfredsfestivalen in Sweden. Both shows
feature some of the earliest performances of songs
like “Web” and “I Don’t Care.”
Stay tuned for more updates in
the near future.
