Hot 97 helped in bringing The Roots to the Roseland Ballroom back in March of 2003. In typical fashion, The Roots' had a few tricks and special guests up their sleeve for this New York City show, and the end result was phenomenal. It was a night to pay homage to the old school as legends of hip hop, including Brand Nubian, Nice & Smooth and Special Ed showed up to rock with The Legendary.  However, the night did not just focus on the past, as up-and-coming artists such as Skillz, Musiq, Kemo and Cody ChestnuTT joined in as well.
